NEW YORK, January 29.—The great demand for oil shares on the curb exchange today was attributed to an advance in Gulf Coast crude oil f 25 cents a barrel, the reported de- ase of more than 20,000 barrels daily in domestic crude output and the sharply declining production from the new Wortham pool. Advances in some of the oils were spectacular, but as the day went on the movement became more orderly, and part of the early advance was avy deriand for Mutual Oil at new high prices around 141, fore- Direct to The Star Office shadowed an early increase in the an- nual distribution of 50 cents, now that the trade situation has definitely turned for the better. Wilcox Oil and Gas stood out strongly and so did most midcontinent issues. The outh American shares subsequently were taken up on belief that the heavy withdrawals of crude from storage would eventually mean a bet- ter market for foreign companies’ products. Venezuelan, Creole Syndi- cate and International Petroleum were actively taken at improved prices. Losses of the previous day in radio stocks were extended, but the de- clines were not as pronounced. —_— NEW YORK, January 29.-—Follow- ing an official list of bonds and stocks traded in on the New York Curb market today: 11 Allied Packers 8s. 2 Allied _Packers 8s...
