All but $100 of the money was recovered Cadoo, according to police, confess- ed that he was the robber who had boarded the train at Bellmore, and within four minutes held up the mail clerk, at the point of & pistol, escap- ing in an automobile It was thought for a time that Gerald Chapman, notorfous bandit was the robber. The mall clerk even identified his picture, but pollce were skeptical. Yesterday Capt. Chadwick of the Lynbrook police force arrest- ed Cadoo after tracing his automo- bile. Look for It! But the radio dealers of Washington have realized that if the busi- ness is to grow in public favor, its advertising cannot contain exag- gerated or incorrect statements. To combat this natural over-enthu- siasm, the Radio Merchants’ Association and the Better Business Bureau have compiled a series of eight standards for better radio advertising. These standards urge against unbelievable claims, such as distance and loud speaker reception. They favor caution, frankness and con- servativeness to the end that radio advertising be truthful, and thus build public confidence. Complete copies of these standards may be had upon application to The Better Business Bureau of Washington PaLAcE E METRO-GOLDWYN PRESENTS ERIC VON STROHEIM'S L powertul, pulaating pictur. 2ation of Frank Norris) novel, “McTEAGUE” Beginning Tomorrow POLA NEGRI In “East of Sues” fn a sparkiing romance of the French Foreign Legion, “WAGES OF VIRTUE” COMEDY—NEWS—OVERTURE Beginning Tomorrow DOUGLAS FAIRBAIKS “THE THIEF OF BAGDAD" The pictare that enthralled New York one wolld year.
