Morton, 37 years old, United States Air Service and | formerly stationed with that branch of the service in this city, died in the Fitzsimmons General Hospital, Denver, Colo., yesterday, it was learned here today. Lieut. Morton was transferred to Walter Reed Hos pital in August, where he spent two weeks before going to the hospital in_Denver. While on duty in this city Lieut. Morton was connected with the of- fico of the Assistant Secretary of War and was engaged in industrial war plant work. Lieut. Morton enlisted as a private fn March, 1918. He was graduated and appointed a second lieutenant in August of the same year and first lieutenant in September, 1920. He was graduated from the Air Service Mechamics’ School in 1920. Lieut. Morton was unmarried. He is survived by his mother, father and two sisters, all of Platte City, Mo. Interment will be in Platte City tomorrow afternoon. R. C. LYDDANE RITES.
