Butler will remain the head of the Philadelphla Police and Fire departments for the next three years, If his leave from the Marine Corps is extended, it was announced to- day by Mayor Kendrick and Gen. But- ler. After a conterence between the mayor and the general, Mr. Kendrick said Gen. Butler called and “we had a very nice talk. We are in perfect accord. The general desires to stay, and I will take up the matter with President Coolidge at his convenience.” Gen. Butler said: “I will remain here for four full Years. There is no use of any more wobbling in the department. Let's get out now and clean up this city.
