Brightwood Park and Takoma schools at the present time are over- crowded and the condition will be- come very serious before & school building can possibly be erected on the proposed site near 3d and Ritten- house streets, the letter says. Want Items Restored. The citizens urge restoration of items recommended by the budget, which would provide additional text books to replace the present obsolete text books and all other items simi- larly recommended, but stricken from the bill. The Brightwood Park School build- ing is lacking in accommodations for the children of the immediate neigh- borhood. ‘There are no lights and other facllities are inadequats. The present Brightwood School building is unsatisfactory because of the lo- cation on Georgia avenue, where traffic is very heavy, endangering the lives of the children and the noise of passing traffic interferes with class- room work.
