GRADES SUNDAY SCHOOL. Vermont Avenue Christian Church Reorganizes Classes. In the reorganization of the Sunday school of the Vermont Avenue Christian Church, receatly undertaken by IL. L. Pickerill, young peoples’ superintendent of the United Christian Missionary So- ciety, the school has been graded into elght departments meeting separately, with trained teachers and officers. Spe- cial equipment has been provided for the children on the cradle roll, whose mothers can leave them in charge of trained helpers during the church sery- ice. This feature of the work Is in charge of Miss Pearl Graham, and chil- dren aged tiree vears and younger are received. The beginners' department for ages 4 and § is in charge of Mrs. M. I Barnall. Miss Klizabeth Wilson is superintendent of the primary depart- | ment, ages six to eight; Miss Mabel Mansfleld, junior department. ages 9 to cleven: Mrs. L. Walker, intermediate department, ages 12 to 14: Lewis V. Judson, senfor department, ages fifteen to sevent Miss Bessie Howlett, voung peoples’ department, ages eight- een to twenty-four, and J. W. Robbins, adult department. from twenty-five vears upward. Capt. A. Grinnell is superintendent of the school. Speeial equipment has been obtained and installed for all departments. A study class in personal evangelism has been organized to meet at the hour of the Sunday school and is taught by Earl Taggart. Members of the school and of the young peoples’ societies will tender a farewell reception to Mr. Pick- erill tomorrow evening after the church service, and Mr. Pickerill will return immediately to his field work for the United Christian Missionary Society.
