NEW YORK, March 1.—John Harper, long a member of the firm of Harper & Bro., publishers, died Thursday in Le Vesinet, France, according to word recelved yesterday. He was sixty-eight years old. Mr. Harper was the grandson of John Harper, who founded the pub- lishing house in 1817.
