Service Club Active. The Social Service Club, composed of young ladies of the senior class,| has been doing effective work in the community this year. Last Sunday the club divided itself into two sec- tions, one of which visited the Old Folks’ Home at Blue Plains and | cheered its inmates by the spirit of good will and delicacies which the members brought with them. At the same time the other group demon-, strated an equally kindly epirit at Gallinger Hospital. The members of the club are also renovating old clothing. which they have secured through their own efforts, for dis- tribution at Thanksgiving. The domestic science group gave a iuncheon Monday for the teachers in order to secure funds for supplles for its department. The project proved a financial success and at the same time afforded opportunities for Dpractical training.
