FOIL TRAIN SEIZURE BY CHINESE BAND Troops Rout Several Hundred in Raid Similar to That of Last Spring. By the Associated Press, PEKING, October.24.—Troops rout- ed several hundred bandits who at- tempted today to capture a passenger train on the Peking-Hankow railway as it was passing-through the north- ern part of Honman province, morth- bound. The train backed out of danger un- der fire. The locomotive was struck by bullets, but no pdssengers were injured. Trafic has been suspended tempdrarily. The raid took place at Hushang- cheng, south of Chengchow. It was reminiscent of the Lincheng outrage of last spring. when numerous for- eigners were kidnaped from a train. BANDITRY A BUSINESS.
