SAN FRANCISCO, October 20.—The American Legion is growing by leaps and bounds, both numerically and otherwise. It is growing so fast that most of its former lean and svelte type doughboys will soon have to lay aside their old uniforms in favor of new ones with greater interior park- ing space. Most of the 50,000 delegates who participated # the galaxy of parades staged here during the national con- vention this week showed consider- able bulging at the seams.
