Claims of American nationals against the German government and German nationals, aggre ng roundly $1,- 200,000,000, are involved. It Is not ex- pected that anything- approximating this full total will be finally awarded to our claimants. An unofficial esti- mate places the amount more like to be eventually approved at some- thing around $300,000,000. Such a sum would about equal the value of Ger- | man assets held by the alien Droperty custodian. On Friday, Novemher 2, Band's Jazz Orchestra will give the Washington devotees of dance a chance to “keep in step” with some real mHitary jazz, when they will glve a benefit dance at the Arcade auditorfum, 14th and Park road northwest.
