NEW YORK, October 10.—Resolutions accepting the concurrent views of the union and non-union groups to bi- tuminous coal’ operators, who, for the first time, have united in deplor- ing. “the monopolistic tendency” of the United Mine Workers of America; branding the nation-wide coal strike as the principal deterrent to an unin- terrupted supply: of coal, and con- demyping “organized violence” in the coal fields, will be adopted today by the bituminous operators’ special or “poliey” committee. The report, announced by the com- mittee, representing the entire soft coal industry of the country, will be presented to the board of directoms of the National Coal Association, which meets today. The non-union | group, however, added a recommen- dation that the association refrain from intervention {n the wage scale negotiations next April, “leaving that task to representatives chosen by and from union coal operators” which, it was declared, was the most interested group. ‘The special committee meets today | for the first time in its enlarged form, now numbering twenty-five instead of hine ‘members.
