He declared that Cuba this ‘| vear was enjoying unusual prosperity and said that present indications were that the government would re- celve In excess of one hundred mil- lion dollars in revenue in the cur- | vent fiscal year. He compared that e | figure with 'a budget expenditure of about $65,000,000. The Cuban spokesman said the gov- ernment and people of the island for the consideration the Washington gov- ernment always. has given, but he asserted, Cuban prosperity is largely dependent upon the economic policies of the United States. He urged, therefore, that contemplated changes be talked over with Cuban represent- atives before economic policles are altered. SEIZE $16,000 IN DRUGS. Federal Agents Say Concern Gets Illegal Shipments. TRENTON, N, J., September 7.— Four hundred ounces of narcotics valued at peddlers’ prices at $16,- 000, according to federal agents, were seized here at the plant of the Kem- per Chemical Manufacturing Com- pany. Joseph Wadell of Loulsville, Ky., was arrested in connection with | . the confiscation.
