Eighteen million pounds of sodatol, a surplus war explosive, will be available for distribution next month through state highway departments for usxe in road building and land clearing, the bureau of public roads of the Department of agriculture an- nounced today. Sodatol was described by the bureau as a high explosive de by mixing TNT and sodium nitrate, and was id to he well adapted for use both in road construction and clearing farm land.
