CURZON HOPES LOAN MAY SAVE HUNGARY Expects Little Entente to Comsent to League Refinancing of Nation. By the Associated Press. LONDON, July ~Lord Curzon, the foreign secretary, when ques- tioned in the house of lords today about the serious cemdition of Hun- gary, announced that the British gov- ernment had addressed a special ap- peal in this connection to France. He Was more than hopeful, he said, that the approaching meeting of the little entente would find Jugosiavia, Csecho- slovakia and Rumania ready to con- sent that Hungary should raise loan, sublect to the necessary com- ditions and guarantees. The British government, the for- eign secretary continued, 'was anx- fous to prevent the financlal collapse of Hungary, with its incalculable consequences, and wag convinced that no financial aid on a suffiicient scale could be obtained except under a scheme supported by the league of nations. The government therefore earnestly hopes that the reparation commission would reconsider its de- cision of last May and refer the ques- tlon without delay to the ileague. —_— THIRTY O'CLOCK’ P.3. seribed Tund and of Washington, olumbin, tagvit: being sonth alf of origindY lot uate in the eity = X —— LEGAL NOTICES.
