Two Held After Drinker of Eight- een Steins Collapses. CHICAGO, July 26—For a year “Professor” Bengo has astonished on- lookers here by eating enormous quantities of food and drinking co- pious draughts of liquids. Today he is in a hospital near death as a result of a trick played on him while giving an exhibition last night and two men are held in jail pending the outcome of his condition. Bengo had downed his seventeenth stein of beer in a saloon last night after dispatching a quantity of sau- sage and a half dozen of eggs. Some one poured oil of mustard the elghteenth stein. He drank the doc- tored beverage and collapsed, Phy- sicians say he may dle. Any man who looks for trouble is blind to his own interests. ARREST EX-DRUG AGENT. ‘Had Narcotics Worth $1,000.
