Moon was elected secretary and Elder S. A. Dixon, as- sistant secretary. Reports showing their district in good condition were made by Rev. Mr. Moon and Rev. Dr. Henderson. Rt. Rev. M. Wilson was elected presi- dent of the missionary department Elder E. Thompson was appointed general missionary of the conference. Rev. Mr. Moon was ordained bishop of the second Episcopal district. Joseph Fletcher of St. Paul’s and Wife Will Visit Europe Via England. A surprise party was given to the Rev. Joseph Fletcher, rector of St. Paul's, Rock Creek Parish, and Mrs. Fletcher on the eve of their depar- ture for a European trip. The children of the parish and their parents gathered on the grounds sur- rounding the rectory and escorted Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher to the Parish Hall. The stage was beautifully decorated and the children arranged fairy-like thrones for their wector and his wife. They enthroned them while a pro- gram of musie, singing and dancing was rendered. Between numbers short cxpressions of “Godspeed” and “safe return” were introduced, with appropriate gifts from each group. Mrs. Mabel Whitman sang ‘“When Irish Eyes Are Smiking."
