SOCIETY. Soa Three Entertainments at ie the French Embassy for Gen. Gouraud While Visiting in Washington. HE ambassador of France, M. Jusserand, will entertain in- formally at lunch tomorrow Gen. Gouraud and his staff, and a few others, and Friday evening will entertain guests at a formal din- ner in his honor. Cards have been issued for the reception in the em- bassy, which follows the dinner. Tomorrow evening Col. Dumont, military attache of the French em- bassy, will entertain at dinner fn honor of the French hero, and follow- ing the luncheon at the French em- bassy tomorrow, Gen. Gouraud will hold a reception in the home of Col. Dumeont, 2622 Connecticut avenue, at 4:30 o'clock, for the veterans of the varlous organizations in the city. The ambassador of Belgium, Baron de Cartier, will go to New York the latter part of the week, where he will be joined by Baroness de Cartier, who has been absent from Washington for a fortnight, visiting friends in New York state and Lenox, Mass. Senator and Mrs. Oscar Underwood, who arrived in New York the first of the week from Europe, will spend a week in Washington before going to their home in Alabama.
