Mrs. Mira M, Metcalf, for more than half a century a resident of this city, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gertrude E. MacKen- zle, 31 T street northwest. The fu- neral was held there this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The interment was In Ar- lington national cemetery. Mrs, Metcalf was a native of Port- land, Me., and was horn in 1847. OF C., HELD Services in Home Followed by Mass at St. Martin’s Church—Burial in St. Mary’s Cemctery. John G. Lesch, a native of this city, aged thirty-eight, died Monday at the family residence, 1813 street northeast. Funeral services were held this morning at the home after which the body was taken to St. Martin's Church, North Capitol and T streets, where solemn requiem mass was celebrated. The interment was in St. Mary's cemetery. The services at the grave were under the auspices of the Washington General assembly, Knights of Colum- bus, of which Mr. Lesch was an active member. Mr. Lesch's death followed an operation for appendicitus. He was born in Washington in 1883, and educated in St. Mary's and St. John's College, graduating from the latter in the class of 1901. He was an active member of Carroll Council, | Knights of Columbus of the fourth| degree. He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Lucie M.
