FRST PRESENTATIN " EXERGIES SUADAY Services for the United Thank Of- fering of Women of Episcopal Churches Announced. The first presentation services for the united thank offering of the women of the Episcopal Church in the diocese of Washington for the triennium 1922-1925 will be held next Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 12th and M streets northwest. Rev. Dr. George W. At- kinson, rector of the church, will con- duct the service, and Rev. William C. White, rector of Washington parish, will make the address. The united thank offering for the whole country for the last triennium was $681,000, of which the dlocese gave $8,150. With this offering 1,173 workers are supported. Some of these are missionaries In the ordi- nary sense of the word, but more often they are teachers In church schools in the mountains. in mining towns, on Indian.reservations and in foreign countries or nurses In hos- pitals under the jurisdiction of the Episcopal Church. In each Epliscopal church in the city there is a parish custodian for the offering and every woman Is asked to eontribute from time to time as an expression of thanksgiving of blessings recelved.
