FEdward James Birch, a )ifclong resident of Washington, for many years connected with the Post Office Department and for a number of years superintendent of station A of the city post office service in George- town, died Saturday at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. George C. Al- temus, 2700 Connecticut avenue northwest, aged seventy-six years. The funeral wad held this afternoon from the home of his daushter, whore he died. Fev.
