NEW YORK, March 9.—The sharp break in Durant of Delaware Thurs- day and a further drop in the stock was riothing more than a professional raid, according to many curb experts. This view was borne out by the rally that took place after the ecarly sell- ing had run its course. After reach- ing a low of 50% supporting orders were thrown into the market, result- ing in a recovery of all of the early loss along with a good part of the decline of the previous day. The Durant stocks were offered freely Thursday and professional op- erators, when they found support lacking, met with little oppusition on the selling side. Tho fact that the president of the company Is at pres- ent on a tour of Pacific coast prop- erties was an additional incentive for the selling.
