He sald on the Saturday before she was shot he met her after she had attended a picture show and drove her to Richardson's home. He said he had dinner with them at a local hotel, after which he took them back to the house. “What did you think of Mr. and Mrs. Richardson being together? he was asked. “From their conversation I thought they were considering- a reconcilia- tion,” he -replied. I told her that nothing wou.d make me happfer than to see them reconcillated Tells of Struggle. West was in the midst of his testi mony when court was adjourned yes- terday. He had told of going to a home in the country where Mrs. Rich- ardson was staying, of bringing her to the city and later going with her to the Pollard home. The witneses de- clared that upon reaching the Pollard home he waited in his automobile while Mrs. Richardson went inside. In a few minutes, he continued, she emerged, preceded by FPollard. He said he heard the woman call to Pol- lard to come back, then saw them engaged in a struggle, which- was soon followed by the report of a pistol. West declared Mrs. Richard- son crumpled to the ground, mortally wounded. * The witness said he started to leave the scene. but was called back by Pollard and went into the house with him.
