NAPOLIS, January 23—Claims for the leadership in the largest A number of college sports during the past year are made by both Princeton and the Naval Academy, each placing the number of championships which they believe they have secured at six, the Navy, however, claiming an equal share with one other in the leadership of a scventh branch. A o Supremacy in this matter turns upon the question of the water polo championship, which is claimed by both. Princeton’s list includes, also, foot ball, basket ball, soccer, polo and golf. The Naval Academy claims first place as to rowing, lacrosse, wrestling, gymnastics and fencing, and an equal right, with the Military Academy, to the boxing title.
