Latest Announcements of Church News, SCHOOL FOR JONIOR, OFFENDERS URGED Survey COmmuttee Named in Connection With Appeal to Protestants. An appeal has been made to the Protestant churches of the District by the Federation of Churches tarough ita president, Rev. Dr. G. M. Diffen- § derfer, to consider the advisability of establishing a school for juvenile of- fenders. After a conference with the Juvenile Court officers and Judge Kathryn Sellers, and in conjunction with & representative of the social service commission of the Episcopal Church of this diocese, the executive com- mittes selected a committee of five epresentatives of the Federation of (Churches to lock into the title and ugreements and feasibility of estab- lishing such a school as Soon as pos- sible. This committee consiste of Dr. G. M. Diffenderfer, chairman; Dr. Chartes Wood, J. L. Lioyd, Mrs.John Hervey Young and Miss Ethel Bagley. The property of the Junior Republic situgted near Annapolis Junction, Md., with a number of buildings and 144" acres of farm land and timber, with good water supply and drainage, s said to be available for such a school. The president of its board of trustees informed the federation through the president that there would be no question about s:curing this property if it were to be used for such training. PAUL'S DAY ON 25TH Bishop Harding Will Celebrate Anniversary of Consecration Here Same Day. ¢ St. Paul's day is to be celebrated in the Episcopal churches next Thursday, which is thé memorial of the conversion of St. Paul. It was on St. Paul's day, 1909, that Rev. Alfred Harding, at that time rétor of St. Paul's Church, 23d street and Pennsylvania avenue northwest, was consecrated Bishop of Washing- ton. The saniversary is always cele- brated at St. Paul's Church, when Bishop Harding returns to hte ol parish and renews acqualntance with the friends of his earller days in the ministry. There will be a celebration of holy communion at St. Paul's Church at 7:30 a.m. Thursday and a second celebration with sermon at 11 am. At 8 p.m. the Bishop of Washington will make an address and the service will be followed by an informal r ception. The rector of St. Paul’ Rev.
