Two business property developments. will be started by the Allan E. Walker Investment Company, it was announced today. A business building will be erected at 1019 17th street northwest and stores will be constructed at the northwest corner of Massachusetts and New Jersey avenues. The 17th street structure will be two stories high, thirty feet wide and 106 feet deep. It was designed by Robert F. Beresford for the Maryland Battery Company. which will Install its salesroo: ce and service sta- tion there. The plans call for a driveway, with en- trance at front and exit at the rear; through the entire building. ’ The improvements are being made for the owner of the land, a local in- vestor. The investment company purchased the property at the northwest corner of Massachusetts and New Jersey ave- nues, containing about 3,500 square feet. The property has a frontage of over seventy-six feet on Massachu- setts avenue and over 118 feet on New Jersey avenue. A large brick bullding on the corner will be remodeled immediately So as to provide two large, modern stores with apartments above. The remainder of the property will he developed for business purposes in the immediate future, after plans by Robert F. Beresford.
