BOSTON, “February 27 (Special The edge seemed to be off the active trading in the wool market today, al though the firmness of prices was maintained. Buyers seem inclined to Wwait developments in the west and in the demand by manufacturers. Many of the latter have net made plain just what their ‘course will be, in view of . the fact that raw material has ad- vanced from 35 to 50 per cent in the Jast three months, and there.is some «<doubt as to what extent some of the manufacturers are covered on their raw material requirements. The New York pool, totaling about 1,000,000 pounds, has now been clean- ed up and brought a total of $380,000 to the 3.600 growers involved. The volume of sateens traded 3n was slightly improved. The raw silk market exhibited little sctivity or strength, although there ‘were some small orders in evidence at prevailing prices.
