Al- fonso was taken to'a hospital with two bullets in his body. ‘The girl told the police that her father took her part. This so en- raged her brother, she said, that he commenced to beat his father, where- upon she dashed into her brother's room, seized his revolver and fired. The police said she fired five shots. NEW YORK, February 20.—Sidney Thompsion, twenty-nine, a chauffeur, shot and killed his wife, Hannah, twenty-three, last night and then committed suicide by shooting hl{n self in the head, according to th police of Rockaway Beach. The murder and "suiclide occurred in the home of the wife's uncle, Benjamin McKeage, in Jamaica. Thompson and his wife, police said, had been separated. They have two children, Arthur, four, and Vernon, two.. Thompapn went to Jamalca to try to effect & reconciliation. ‘When he reached the uncle's home, Thompson pleaded to be permitted to “tglk things over” with his wife.
