Five were arrested, charged with operation of an illicit atill and illegal possession of intoxicating beverages. These arrested are: Welford Miller, forty-one, of Carter's farm; Lawrence Butier, colored, and William Coleman, colored, of Penrose, Va., and C. F. and Floyd Davis of Green Valley, Va. The final stop was at the Banton farm. There J. W. Banton, residing half a mile from the Tucker estate, ‘was arrested on a charge of operating a still. Conflscations and destructions included a still and cap, 2,000 gallons of mash, four oil stoves, of which two were destroyed; 500 pounds of meal and 800 pounds of sugar. Members of Raiding Party.
