LT oI LAUDS - STUDENT SOLDIERS Senator Takes Part in Spe- cial Honors Paid R. 0. T. C. at Georgetown Unlversnty Work of the Reserve Officers’ Train- ing Corps in the universities of the country was lauded by Senator Wads- worth of New York, chairman of Sen- ate military affairs committee, at a meeting vesterday of the R. O. T. C. unit of Georgetown University. Sen- ator Wadsworth said the corps is an important adjunct to the preparation of line officers and praised the show- ing of the Hilltop unit. Honors were awarded to the cadets showing the highest efficiency dur- ing the last term. Murphy received a medal for a percentage of 92 during the year's shoeting. The medal was offered by the National Rifles’ Asso- tion. medal also was awarded to Robert E. Morgan, who had an av- erage of 90 per cent. On behalf of the military depart- ment of the university a Krag carbine was presented to Edward D. Murphy for class efficiency. Cadet Murphy also won the pistol match at the Platts- burg camp last summer. while Joseph McDonough won the highest honors at Plattsburg, Murphy being second. Given Wrist Watches. Maj. William H.
