Besides keeping the statue of three pioneer suffragists clean the women are demanding that - the room under the rotunda of the Capitol, originally designed for the tomb of - Washington, and whete the statue now is, be cleaned up, 100, and kept clean. At present old furniture is frequently stored there. The woman's party mem- bers are negotiating now with members of the Senate and Library committee for more fitting treat- ment of the memorial which was accepted by Congress with fitting ceremonies last year.
