The story concerns a salesman for a rubber heel concern, who is “fired” while “working his line” in a small town. He decides to remain and then lands a job in a small store, where the “pep” he puts into the establish- ment triples its business. The pro- prietor has taken him to his home as a Dboarder and there he meets the daughter and also another boarder who has recently purchased the pool room of the town.
