PLAN $50,000,000 LOAN. Bankers Arrange to Extend Aid to Cattle Industry. NEW YORK, June 17.—Arrange- ments for a loan of $50,000,000 to be extended to the cattle industry were expected to be completed today at a meeting of some twenty-five bankers of the east and west. The conference was for the purpose of putting the details of the loan into shape and to insure making the funds available im- mediately. Between fifteen and twenty New ! York banking houses, it was under- stood, have agreed to combine- forces and_advance $25,000,000 toward the cattle industry, with a like sum to be raised among banks in Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City and other western cities. —_— SIR AUCKLAND HONORED.
