Gomez to Cruiser at Key West. By the Assoclated Press. HAVANA, Cuba., June 14.—Upon re- ceipt of news of the death in New York of Gen. Jose Miguel Gomez, President Zayas called a special meefing of the cabinet at which plans were adopted for paying national honors to the former President of Cuba. A cablegram of con- dolence was sent to the widow and the Cuban minister, Senor Cespedes, was in- structed to take charge of the arrange- ments for transporting the body to Key West. All flags on public guildings were ordered at half-mast for ten days, and all federal, provincial and municipal offices will be closed from the moment the body arrives in Havana until burial. The minister of war and marine, Senor Duany, will arrange for military and naval escorts, and all the officers and men of the army and navy 'will wear mourning for ten days, The entire ex- penses of the funeral will be met from the nagional treasury. The cruiser Cuba will proceed to Key West to bring the body to Havana, and the presidential yacht Hatuey will carry the war minister and the chiefs of staft of the army and navy tb that port as representatives of the government.
