Be- fore taking up her duties at the high school she had been engaged in spe- ]clal editorial work for the Congres- sional Library. She was a graduate of Brown Uni- versity and the Washington Collegn of Law, and at the time of her death was’ taking extension work in Ing- {lish at the University of Washing- | ton. As vice president and legislative agent of the High School Teachers' Union, Mrs. Inkster worked untiring- ly for increased salaries for Wash- ington teachers, and contributed largely to the struggle a few years ago for the right of married women to teach in the schools of the Dis- trict. She was active in suffrage work, both here and in the states. She numbered a host of friends in Washington, and her -death will be a distinct loss.
