NEW YORK, March 30.—More spring songs are being sung by the fashion chroniclers to the tweed suits now being urged for sport and street wear. Tweeds, we are told, carry with them the thought of spring breezes and summer holidays. To them clings the atmosphere of garden walls and coun- try lanes, of the motor car passing out from the oity's gate, of the spring- time throng on fashion's highways and byways. Women who walk and ride and travel and golf will revel in spring’s joys. it seems, only if they are clad in tweeds. PHILADELPHIA, March 30.—Dame fashion has turned her fancies to the exterior decorations of country houses this year, and it is reported that no summer cottage will be quite up-to-date unless its awnings and lawn umbrellas are made from the heavy, orange-colored linen the Ve- netians use for sails. There has been 2 heavy importation of this sail cloth for the purpose. NEW YORK, March 30.—Algerian silk crepe has been announced as adding & new fleld of fashion to its conquests—the misses’ coats.
