This action was attributed by the company to slack business. BOTON, - March 28.—The United States Smelting and Refining Com- pany today passed the quarterly divi- dend on its common stock. The last dividend declared in January was 50 cents a share. The directors of the Punta Alegre Sugary Company today voted to re- duce the quarterly dividend from $2 to $1.25 a share.
