NEW YORK, February 4.—Evidence involving thirty-eight customs in- spectors at the port of New York in charges of graft, will be presented to the federal grand jury as soon as-the cases are completed, Earl B. Barnes, assistant federal district attorney, an- nounced. Warrants will be issued for the arrest of the men, he said: Byron C. Newton, collector of the port, admitted that recommendations had been sent to Washington for dis- en place in the staff.
