Sentenced for Forgery, But Will Go Back to Islands. Angel de Jesus, a Filipino, who re- cently pleaded guilty to a charge of forgery, was sentenced yesterday by Justice Gould in Criminal Division 1 to serve three years in the peniten- tiary. Sentence was suspended on the promise of the accused to return to the Philippine Islands. His trans- portation was arranged and the pris- oner released. a certificat pf d-pos- it for $375, made out in the name of Alejandro Florentino, and is charged with forging the name of the pdyee and cashing the certificate, GIVEN JAIL SENTENCE. William H. Taylor. colored. who pleaded guilty to six charges of housebreaking, was sentenced by Jus- tice Gould to serve three years and six months in the penitentiary.
