WASHINGTON TO POINT LOOKOUT. Projected Railway Between the Two Points, With Branch Lines. The Washington, St. Mary’s Bay and Point Lookout Railway Company is the name of a corporation which has recently been organized, with a charier obtained in Maryland, for the purpose of building a railroad from the District of Columbia line via Prince George's, Charles and St. Mary's counties to Point Lookout, which is the extreme southernmost point of Maryland. From the latter point connections will be made ‘or Norfolk and other cities. It is also contempiated to build a branch line to St. Mary’s City, or St. Mary’s bay, and it Js considered likely that other feeder lines may also be built. ‘The proposed line will be about 100 miles long, and it is stated that not only has the survey for the route been completed, but that contracts have been made by the man- agement with the Pennsylvania Steel Com- pany for about 9,000 tons of steel rails to be used in the work.
