Johnson, Mra, Nott, Sen Mes. Elkins Hosts Yesterday. The President and Mrs. Cleveland will hold their fourth and last reception of the season at the White House this evening from 9 to 11 o'clock. It is a public recep- ticn, and cards are not issued for it. Mrs. Stevenson and all the ladies of the cabi- net circle will be present and assist at the reception. A very beautiful reception yesterday afternoon was that given by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Alward Johnson at their elogant home, 1622 P street, from 4 to 7, which was attended by hundreds of the friends of the handsome young couple. Senator and Mrs. Gorman, parents of the hostess, were present to enjoy the animated scene. Each room was profusely adorned with long-stemmed roses or potied tulips. In the dining room the refreshment table was adorned by a huge bunch of La France roses and mignounette, in a tall silver vase, and oval plats of lilies of the valley. A mandolin orchestra played throughout the reception. The charming hostess was gowned in white satin, with a folded collar and belt cf shaded pink velvet, and wore exquisite diamonds.
