Tuesday evening the army will meet in the Eastern Presby- terian Church, 6th and Maryland avenue ncrtheast, and on Thursday evening-in the Mt. The Washington members of the Aux- illary League and of the Mercy Box League, as well as of the- churches in which the meetings are to.be held, are especially interested in them. Brigadier William Evans, who has charge of the Saj- vation Army division of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Celumbia, is coming from Pniladelphia with his staff to take part in the meetings Sunday, but will not be able to remain through the week. Captain Blanch Cox, Ensign Anne Worth- ington, Captain Bertha Hill, Captain Fryer and other officers will.be-in charge, but the great feature of all the meetings will be what is called the “singing brigade,” a sextet of young women officers with fine voices, who have made a deep impreggion in all the cities in which they havérap- peared. At the large meetings which Com- mrander and Mrs. Booth-Tucker conducted in Philadelphia Sunday and Monday the “singing brigade’ attracted much atten- tion. Mrs. Ensign Flynn, whe is at the head of it, speaks as well as she sings, and the other members of the brigade are equally interesting. One of its members, Lieut. The regular weekly meeting of District Assembly No. 66, Knights of Labor, was held last evening.
