To the fair city-by-the-sea there now come a-troop- ing thousands upon thousands of the tired and heated city dwellers who would fain rest, recreate and cool off by the side of the grand old ocean, where breezes ever blow and the curling waves invite the beholder to lave in the bosom of the refreshing sea. The coming week gives every promise of being the greatest of the season in Atlantic, and the hotel people are making prepara- tions for an influx that will fill their houses. Already the advance guard has arrived and today Atlantic City is busy and boom- ing. The number of peop here from Washington is very large, and the people of the resort say that every se: finds a larager clientele from the cap city here. Many of the most fashionable members of Wahsington society will spend a couple of weeks here during August, and some of your best-known business and pro- fessional men will likewise enjoy a period of rest, recreation and enjoyment in the city-by-the-sea.
