12 THE EVENING STAR, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11, 1895—SIXTEEN PAGES. SUBURBAN NEWS a ACOSTIA. Mr. and Mrs. J. Adam Bede, formerly of Anacostia, but who for several years have resided in Minnesota. where Mr. Bede was for some time United States marshal, were fn town yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Bede have just returned from an extended Euro- pean trip. The meanest thief who has yet visited Anocostia was in the town day before yes- terday, and he succeeded in getting posaes- sion of an overcoat belonging to a boy ramed Charles Clubi, who is one of the switch tenders for the Anacostia and Metropoiitan Railway Companies, at the ccrner of Missouri avenue and 413 streets, Washington. ‘The thief, who is a boy about the size of Club, heard the latter, while at work Wed- nesday, say he wished he had his overcoat, as he felt cold. The fellow offered to go the coat, but Clubb declined his services, saying that he could wait for the garmeni uriil he had an opportunity to get it him- self. By some means he learned where Clubb lived, snd going there told Mrs.Clubb that her son had sent him for the coat. Mrs. Clubb, without hesitation, gave the fellow the garment, and he disappeared with it, going toward Washington. That was the last seen of him. . ——— HYATTSVILL An enthusiastic meeting cf the Bladens- furg Democratic Ciub was held last night at Coldenstroth’s Hotel, in Bladensburg, with James C.
