The Anacostia street railway is feeling the benefit of the announcement that the employes are to share in the profits. A marked increase of business is apparent, andeit is expected the receipts for the month of April will be considerably greater than they were last year. The excess will be distributed among the men, and they naturally take a lively interest in the mat- ter. At the meeting of the Street Railway Protective Union. yesterday Gwinn reported the facts as above stated, adding that there was ev. Neve there would be a cons! in the receipts of the road for the present month over those for the same time last year. A resolution asking for proposals to furnish uniforms for the members of the union was adopted and sent to various firms, who are requested to submit prices and samples of material at as early a date as possible.
