It is really touching to see the efforts of the “brethren” to dwell together ia harmony with |the President these days. They crowd upon each other's heels in their eagerness to dem- onstrate their willingness to fold their hands across their breasts and with uplifted and thankful eves join in the refrain of the sweet singer's anthem to the beauties of concord. This is especially noticeable in the case of | men who, by their public utterances less than year ago, unmistakably placed themselves in a position where they could be charged with be- ing out of harmony with Mr. Cleveland. They have since come to see the error of their ways, however, and would not for the world be sus- pected now of entertaining any other thought than that there is but one Cleveland and they are his prophets, Bismillah! THE CALLERS BEGAN FARLY. The President's ante room was besieged early this morning by the members and Senators calling to present the claims of their friends and constituents for office.
