HL ~— Must Not Make the Mistake Again. Henry Suidam has mades peculiar mistake | three times and Judge Kimball warned him to- @ay that « repetition of the mistake would cause him » pecuniary loss. Suidam lives on Linden street northeast and so does Policeman Herndon. Their houses are in a row and oc- cupy the same relative position to 12th and 13th Btreets, respectively When Saidam returned home a few nights ago he went through 12th street indtead of 13th, as bad been his custom, and he stopped ut his bors instead of at bis own house, as be had done before. Mrs. Herndon was alone in the house and | she called for assistance when she discovered that Saidam wasat her door. She thought he wes under the influence of juor and that Mquor was the cause of bis mistake, but he de- mied that such was the cause. He admitted that he bad drank some during the evening. but be was not under the influence of liquor to such an extent thathe did not know what he was doing. His son was pot on the stand as a witness and he «aid be had made the same mistake and be ‘was not under the influence of liquor. — Kimball said that the case so much ‘worse if the man was not under the influence wai moyance,” the judge said, “will have This time T will suspend sentence and | andl per Stag ethane te sepeabedl you Cll kare to Pay ‘the fine in this case as weil as in the new one.” pructinedins stbaaiea ANTED—AT ClLY INTELLIGENCE OFFICE, cooks, waiters, drivers, laundresses, men, women, WwW ANTED—BY COLORED WOMAN, SITUATION V a" LARGE] iT roouns, cheerfnl and bright, with Board; liberal fs papered: ECR!
