Summer, with its heat and dirt, is thought to have put in its appearance for a lenghty stay and almost overy one begins to think of plans for more or less extensive outing. Whether the trip be among the cool breezes and clear atmosphere of the mountains, the invigorating airand cool baths of the seaboard or the healing water and sanitary com oe rs of the springs a pleasant resort, with le fired sarroun tings, ean be found’ piotured in the advertising columns of Tae Stan. Here ‘re some summer resorts in addition to those already published: Asbury Park has lost none of its many at- tractions since last season and a nice comfort- able place to stop at is the Guernsey on 7th avenue. This beautiful resort is situated near the beach and lakes. The season opened -June 8 and the proprietor, Thomas G. Allan, for- merly of this city, promises superior table, hops, tennis, fishing and boating among other sports for the entertainment of his guests. Colonial Beach, one of the popular Potomac river resorts, is open for the season and Mr. W. T. Crump promises a continuance of the management which has heretofore been so commendable. The table and cuisine are un- surpassed and there is plenty of fishing, crab- bing and boating. Rates $8 to $12 per week. Reduced rates to families. Hotel Spray View is directly on the beach, close to hot and cold water baths at Ocean Grove, N. J., and contains all modern im- provements. "This delightfully located hotel opened ite fifteenth season June 1. Joseph hite is proprietor. Special rates for June and September are offered by “The Aurora,” No. 5 Surf avenue, Ocean Grove, N. J. The Aurora is only two doors from the sea. Mi. A. Bull, post office box 400, will supply all needed information. The Coleman House, Asbury Park, N. J., is one of the leading hotels there. It is situated dircetiy on the beach. The hotel opens June 2. For rates, &c., address Alfred S. Amer, room clerk.
