Street Railway Lines Tied Up by « Strike of Employes. Dernort, Mica., April 21.—Differences be- tween thezemployes of the City Railway Com- pany and the Employing Corporation, which controls every street car line in this city but one, came toa head this morning ona strike and the pa:tial «uspension of street car trans- portation facilities. The men are aggrieved at the discharge of several conductors and drivers, who were orgunizing them for a strike to come off late in the season when they should be well prepared to stand it. The railway company’s method of taking time by the fore- lock precipitated the strike, about 200 of 750 emyloyes going out. THE GRAND RIVER AVENUE line of six miles is tied up, only two cars being in service. The Michigan, Trambull and Grand avenue and Crost-town lines, nine miles im length, are also tied up. The Chene street line, ‘@ new road in the eastern part of the city, with a light business, is also out of commission.
