Daring the sessions of the Polize Court the judge is constantly annoyed by persons who want tosee him about some persom who is under arrest or about some private business, taking up an hour or two of valuable time almost every day. Among those who thus cause frequent in- terruptions of the business of the court are some of the lawyers who practice about the court, Astory is told of some of these lawyers who make such visits to the judge’s bench. Accord- ing to the report they whisper confidentially to the court for a minute or two and then go to some one in the audience who is interested m & case and say to him: “I can get the judge to do anything I want.
